Author Q & A with Robin Clement

Robin is an indie author who has recently published her second book. She writes mainly standalone stories with scenes that come alive from her wording and stories that will capture your heart. Question 1 If you could pick one thing to remove/change from any your books or book what would it be?

I would add more drama between the 4 or 5 sort of main characters. At some points, I didn’t want to go too far and I think I could have gone father than I did.

Question 2 What part of the book was the most fun to write?

The first interaction between the twin brothers. That was fun because I could just picture how cocky Ciaran and Killian could and should be.

Question 3 What is the significance of the title?

Well, Swan Song is ones final act. And, given the ending of this story I believed it to be fitting. I knew how this story would end before I finished writing it.

Question 4 If you’re planning a series, can you share a tiny bit about your plans for it

This is going to be a stand alone novel.

Question 5 What’s your favorite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?

Rocky’s hot dogs in Guelph Ontario Canada. My great-grandma always use to take me there, especially after great-grandpa passed away and we would visit his gravesite. It always held a special place in my heart, even more so since grandma passed away.

Question 6 What’s your favorite writing snack or drink?

Sour keys, popcorn and pop.

Question 7 If your book were made into a movie, which actors would play your characters?

Oh that’s a tricky one. I would love Lucy Hale to play Lilibeth! She would be so perfect for this part I think. As for Killian, hmm… Taylor Kitsch

Question 8 What was your favorite song while writing this book? Do you have a playlist I can share?

I have my go to playlist. You can definitely share it!

Question 9 Describe your writing space?

Work, the bus, my couch. Basically everywhere inspiration hits.

Question 10 What advice do you have for writers/authors?

Don’t second guess yourself. Your characters will tell you where they wanna go.

Question 11 If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

Hmmm, I would want a copy of the Lord of The Rings and my phone. I could get lost in that trilogy any time of the week.

Question 12 If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?

A puma. Loyalty is everything.
