Question 1 If you could pick one thing to remove/change from any of your books or book what would it be?

There is really nothing that I would like to change. I always work on my stories until I’m really happy with them 🙂

Question 2 What part of the book was the most fun to write?

I love the scene where Ruby sees Josh’s hybrid form for the first time! I was looking forward to that the whole time I was planning the story.

Question 3 What is the significance of the title?

“Wolf” will consist of three parts – “Wolf – Under Your Skin,” “Wolf – To Your Bones,” and “Wolf – In Your Heart.” On the one hand, the titles describe Ruby’s and Josh’s love, which grows deeper with each volume. However, the three titles are also an indication of how the infection with the werewolf virus spreads through the body. This is explained in more detail in the third volume of the trilogy 🙂

Question 4 If you’re planning a series, can you share a tiny bit about your plans for it?

When I first had the idea for “Wolf – Under Your Skin“, I knew right away that it was going to be a trilogy, even though I didn’t even have a story for volumes 2 and 3 yet. Somehow I had a feeling. While the first volume is more about Ruby’s and Josh’s relationship, volumes 2 and 3 are about much more. The true enemy will emerge and for Josh, a search for answers begins, while Ruby is drawn deeper and deeper into the world of werewolves. The trilogy is about friendship and courage, but also about accepting yourself and overcoming your inner darkness. I tried to give the werewolf genre a new direction, and so Ruby and Josh are fighting not only other werewolves but the infection itself.

Question 5 What’s your favorite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?

I live in a rural village and love to walk in the woods! The tranquility of nature inspires me very much. Misty forests have always given me ideas. That’s also why they play a role in almost every book I write 😀

Question 6 What’s your favorite writing snack or drink?

I always drink tea when I write. I do not eat, however, because I hate crumbs in the keyboard 😀

Question 7 If your book were made into a movie, which actors would play your characters?

That’s really hard! I don’t have specific actors in mind, but I would love to see Dane DeHaan as Ian since he just looks like I imagine him 🙂

Question 8 What was your favorite song while writing this book? Do you have a playlist I can share?

I do have a playlist! I mainly heard the following songs: “Lay me down – Avicii” / “The wolves – Cyrus Reynolds” / “Unforgettable – Robin Schulz” / “Burn me away – Slipknot” / “Gehenna” – Slipknot

Question 9 Describe your writing space?

I have a desk in a quiet room where I retreat to write. By now, the desk and all the shelves and walls around it are decorated with pictures and things related to my books. I feel incredibly comfortable there! 🙂

Question 10 What advice do you have for writers/authors?

Never give up on your dreams! Every small step counts as long as it leads in the right direction.

Question 11 If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

I would definitely take my laptop to be able to write new books, and food for my dog Adam!

Question 12 If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?

I must admit that I have always felt a connection with wolves. I find a lot of myself in their cautious, shy nature. They always stand by their family and when they have no other choice, they know how to defend themselves. I think there is something wise about wolves that I would like to learn from them.
