Werewolf romances are always bound to be trouble but can two future leaders of this vast community learn to face their responsibilities whilst coming to terms with their love life? Sparked Revolutions is a romance novel set in modern day America, filled with intrigue and suspense that is bound to get the blood pumping.
I was asked to review this book by the author and I am leaving an honest review voluntairly.
Damian is an alpha wolf shifter being groomed to take over his father’s pack; however, he wants to get into trouble with his friends not spend his summer watching over a girl from another pack. Holly is 17 and a future Luna. She doesn’t like having to spend her summers with different packs and doesn’t understand why. Don’t worry it all gets explained eventually.
This book seems to hop back and forth from the character’s points of view, and it is nice to see what they are thinking, but it does repeat some scenes. This happens mostly in the beginning as the book progresses it doesn’t happen .
Damian is acting like a love-sick puppy and doesn’t understand why? Holly seems to be a bit confused and shy. It is finally revealed to him, and it is funny to read his wolf and him arguing. Damian is the perfect gentleman, and he tries to make her fall in love with him. Oh, young love is so sweet, and he is being the perfect book boyfriend.
I do notice some minor missing words in a heated, steamy scene. This book also includes that petty girl you love to hate. In this case, Venia indeed shows her colors. Oh, exciting twist as she is mated to someone she doesn’t want. Poor Lucas. There also seem to be a few more characters in this book who don’t want the happy ending or are jealous of the moon goddesses’ choices. I love that this book focuses on the family of ranked members, romance, and not just one single couple. In this story, everything seems to have a reason for happening eventually.
Wow, this book gets super-steamy as they experience a lot of first together. The author doesn’t hold back on the explicit scenes. These hot steamy scenes do take place a lot in this book. I think it does show the quality of the mate’s love and the attraction they have to each other.
Omg, this book was terrific, and now a new twist, a ton of heartbreak, and just wow. What will happen now?
I love the decision and smart moves the Alpha makes to accomplish his goal and revenge. I love that the other couples’ stories, like the beta and gamma mates, are related to the Alpha and his Luna. I feel bad all their celebrations seem to bring trouble. As they have others involved in the story, you get their perspective, which is refreshing.
I feel like this story is very young, albeit intriguing. This book and the main characters fit in with the new adult genre; most of this book is very mature in context. Still, the characters are young, just barely adults in some cases. They act and do things in a youthful manner. I feel their is a small contradiction between the characters, the story maturity and the general audience it is intended for as this does contain mature content. This book does get into some taboo subjects, but there is no need for a warning beside the author’s notice . As some of the wolf shifters have to recover from their past which is traumatic in some cases.
The council in this book seems to be up to no good. I’m interested to see what will happen. Ohh, this just gets more interesting; not all is resolved, which makes me want to read the next book.
I do feel like that blurb for this book is disappointing. It doesn’t even closely hook the reader for the amount of action, suspense, and romance in this book. That author has a fantastic story with this book, and I can’t wait to see what happens in The Heated Empire (Book 2 of The Rising Dawn Series). This book contains all the things I look for in a paranormal romance read. You get fated mates, second chance mates, revenge and plots, family, steamy romance, and enough action to guide you through the story. The author did a fantastic job with her characters, making each character exciting, including ranked members with their own stories and personalities.
I also like that their world wasn’t perfect. They had enemies, situations they had to overcome, and decisions that affected others and their future. It wasn’t just one thing and done. Many different issues arose in the plot, interrupting the characters happily ever after. Although the characters are young and sometimes not as mature as their situations, I felt the author did a great job, including moments of maturity. I really loved that the romance part of the book wasn’t just one couple, it seemed to be the focus, but it also included other mates and rejected mates. I love how the author explored each issue they faced and even created new ones that didn’t resolve so efficiently.
I look forward to the next book in this series, and this was definitely a fantastic read. I encourage anyone who loves paranormal romance, fated mates, and a whole lot of trouble to give this book and amazing author a try. This is the paranormal romance book I was looking for as it had everything I could ever want in one story.
