Charm (Crave Book 5) by Tracy Wolff

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Finally find out what happened during those missing four months, as the thrilling adventure continues!

He’s under my skin…

After Katmere, I shouldn’t be surprised by anything. Including the existence of a world beyond my world called the Shadow Realm. Yet here I am, stuck in a strange, dangerous place with the worst of the supernaturals, the monster that other monsters fear: Hudson Vega. He might be Jaxon’s brother and ridiculously hot, but he’s a complete bona fide pain in my ass.

The question is whether we’ll find a way out before I kill him…or run out of time.

She’s stealing my heart…

It’s a truth universally known—at least according to Grace—that everything is my fault. But I have a nasty suspicion that Grace isn’t as human as she thinks, and she’s the one keeping us trapped. Now we’ll have to work together not only to survive, but to save all those we’ve come to call family who live here.

Because there’s something connecting us. Something stronger than fear…and way more bloody dangerous.

My Review

“We change and grow and some people follow that journey with us, become an integral part of it, and others go on their own paths.”

Charm by Tracy Wolff

This story is the in-between moment between Crave and Crush and can be read anytime after the first book. However, I wish it was available earlier, as going back to read it seems odd. I am excited to get a glimpse at Grace and Hudson in the missing four months. This new adult paranormal romance gives me a better understanding of Grace and Hudson and the changes in their characters from the first book in the series to the second. I loved their connection and the relationship we see growth in this book. I feel like the quote above perfectly sums up this book and whats to come in this series.

This book is shorter than the rest of the series but still crucial to the storyline. We begin with Grace, who takes us back to her first paranormal oops. This story is from both characters’ pov.

The author doesn’t spare the sarcastic humor in the conversations. I love the sassy chapter titles; they are better than the read. Damn, the mundane action in this book is just as addicting as the rest of the series. I love the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers vibe and the fact that it completely sucks you in, even though it isn’t reality. It sure reads like it is.

This book has more of a fantasy aspect to its paranormal as we start in the purple or dark black shadow realm. The author gets swoony, and I see Hudson in a new light. Grace isn’t quite her badass self yet, but she is definitely working up to it. The dragon thing is on a new level, and no, this isn’t the teenage dragons at Katmere Academy. This may be a new adult paranormal story, but the action will have you at the edge of your seat. That bonding moment was erotic between Grace and Hudson.

This book does get steamy. I love how we get to see Grace find herself and her paranormal powers in this book. Omg, the action in this book is epic. This is one heck of a fantasy story, but it is so twisted I might have to reread the other books.

I love the ending in the epilogue; even though it confused me a little, it took place after one of the other books. This completely threw off my timeline in this series, but it was an epic read.

I highly recommend you read this series in order as it will make the most sense. The reading order is below. However, if you are like me and have been reading for a while and catching up on this latest release, you can find Charm by Tracy Wolff on Amazon. Covet
Court
