Adley Saunders or A.J. Saunders on some of thier books is a new indie author team who have recently published a ghost ficiton book, The Whispering Magpies, but also has a new romantic supsense coming soon . These authors use a pen name but it is two writers working on each book. So lets find more about this unique duo of authors.
Question 1 When did you start writing?
Seriously, about five years ago – otherwise I’ve been writing since I was in High School.
Question 2 What comes first, the plot or characters?
Plot first – then very quickly followed by the charcters
Question 3 How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?
Four books written. THE WHISPERING MAGPIES which takes place in the south of England was published in October 2020. HYDE AND SEEK which takes place in France is due out mid-September 2021. A GRAVE MISTAKE which takes place in Corsica is almost finished and will reach the editor in Febraury 2022, and Cerenyse which takes place in the Brocéliande forest in Brittany is finished and will be pulled out of the drawer shortly. My favourite? All of them – they all have their own charm.
Question 4 Where do you get your inspiration?
Depends on the day and mood, but when you’ve got an over-imaginative mind, ideas just flow out at most unusual times.
Question 5 Can you share with us something about the book that isn’t in the blurb?
Kaylee and Abby aren’t who they seem to be. For that matter, neither are the others.
Question 6 Tell us about the process for coming up with the cover.
It was a long process. I wanted to find a cover that would intrigue the reader and convey the trauma the heroine is going through. The cover really reflects the contents of the book.
Question 7 Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?
HYDE AND SEEK a romantic suspense is due out in mid-September 2021, and there is another romantic suspense almost finished which should be out this time next year.
