Down & Dirty: Books 4-6: Dirty Angels MC (Dirty Angels MC Series Box Set Book 2) by Jeanne St. James

Rating: 4 out of 5.

DIESEL:

She calls him “The Beast.”

Diesel, the MC’s Sergeant at Arms and enforcer, is tasked with not only keeping the club’s property and its members safe, but also taking care of “business” when needed. His motto, “live free, die free,” means he sees most women as nags and clingers and he wants none of that. The last thing he needs is to have one sitting on the back of his bike and trying to dictate his life.

Unlike the other DAMC women, Jewel wants to be an ol’ lady. Being born and raised within the club, her goal is to earn her place on back of a brother’s bike. But not just anyone’s. No, she had to pick the biggest, most pig-headed and quick-tempered of the bunch. The one she nicknamed “The Beast,” because that’s how he acts both in and out of bed. She’s wanted Diesel for so long she’s not about to give up the fight to become his. She’s bound and determined to win this battle one way or another.

Diesel fights his desire for Jewel until a rival MC threatens what he realizes is his, and no one gets away with that. No one.

AXEL:

When you’re a cop, life can be complicated when the woman you love is MC born and raised…

Though the club blood runs thick in Axel’s veins, he’s despised by them for being a cop. They also hate him because his family turned their back years ago not only on the club but his brother, the president of the Dirty Angels MC. However, he’s loved Bella forever, watched her marry the wrong man, one who broke her in almost every imaginable way, and yet she’s still the strongest person he knows. Despite their rivaling families, he won’t let anything stand in the way of making her his this time.

Bella hasn’t known anything other than alpha bikers her whole life. Her marriage to one turned into a tragedy, one that changed the rest of her life. She was never the same after that one fateful night that Axel came to save her. Though he remains on the outskirts of her life, he’s always there: watching, waiting, worrying about her. Especially when a rival MC continues to wreak havoc on all of their lives.

Like Romeo and Juliet, his family may never accept her, and hers him, but they’re both determined to tear down the wall that divides them.

SLADE:

He thought he liked easy. Until she showed him easy was boring.

Right out of the Marines, Slade’s first mistake was patching into a club that was headed down a destructive path. His second was rolling into Shadow Valley on a search for answers. He had no plans to patch into another club, even one like the DAMC, and he certainly wasn’t looking for an ol’ lady. Especially a ball-buster like Diamond, who could singe the hair off a brother’s nuts with just a look.

DAMC born and bred, Diamond was ready to give up on becoming an ol’ lady until the heavily tattooed biker rolled into town on his Harley. Problem is, months later Slade’s still a mystery. He never talks about himself or his past, and Diamond wants answers. But she’s not quite ready for what’s uncovered: secrets that could very well implode the club. It doesn’t just bring Slade’s loyalty into question, but forces Diamond to make a choice she doesn’t want to make. A choice that affects not only Slade, but the whole MC.

Theese books have a trigger warning on the Amazon site but not in the books.

My Review

If you haven’t read the first 3 books in this series, you will want to.you can get them in a Down & Dirty: Books 1-3: Dirty Angels MC (Dirty Angels MC Series Box Set Book 1) or read them indivaully like I started with you can check out my review on them Down & Dirty: Zak (Dirty Angels MC Series Book 1) by Jeanne St. James, Down & Dirty: Jag (Dirty Angels MC Series Book 2) by Jeanne St. James, Down & Dirty: Hawk (Dirty Angels MC Series Book 3) by Jeanne St. James. Yes, these can be read as a standalone, but they include so much club stuff you will want to start from the beginning. Each of these gets more in-depth and a deeper connection to the characters they are about and the MC club family. The author has formed a great story for each one with current conflicts and past issues and hooked the readers to this series. I feel when I am reading this like I’m part of it, somehow feeling every emotion, laughing at the jokes, and being part of the MC family. I love the cavemen grunts and talk and the overall appeal of both the strong females and boy boy bikers.

Diesel’s character gets a lot deeper in Down & Dirty: Diesel (Dirty Angels MC Series Book 4) and we see another side of the big burly man-beast who protects everyone. Jewel and Diesel make some hot pages, and I love how aggressive she is for biker babe. He sure went down quickly for a biker who didn’t want an old lady, but the romance and sweet side of him are encouraging. Diesel, of course, is the club’s Sergent at Arms and takes protection seriously. When the rival Mc steps on toes, the outcome is beyond what I expected, but I loved reading him in action.

Down & Dirty: Axel (Dirty Angels MC Series Book 5) is definitely different from the others books in the series. Yes, Bella is MC, but Axel is 5-0 and not part of the MC club but family to President Zak. Bella has been in other books as a background character but not really described by the author entirely. This book really gives you more info on Bella and Axel’s background. This book is shocking, gritty, and full of alpha males as well as strong females. Bella and Axel are fighting an uphill battle for their happily ever after. Still, I love how strong she is and how protective he is toward her and their relationship. I also love that the author left nothing hanging and even had chapters of progress between the brothers and Zak’s family.

Down & Dirty: Slade (Dirty Angels MC Series Book 6) This book is all about Slade a newly patched member, and Diamond, a sister to Jewel. This book is filled with trouble from the relationship to history that surprises the reader. Both Slade and Diamond have their own issues to work past to find their happiness. The readers also get insight into club businesses and more info, including the beef between the Warriors and the MC. Slade isn’t as much of a caveman and his sentences and heart show in this book. The whole club is part of this, and I love how the author weaves in the other characters the reader knows and has a connection with to bringing this story to life. All of these stories have lots of steamy scenes, cavemen grunts, and biker language. They are definitely for a mature audience. The author did a fantastic job on these books, and I can’t wait to read more in this series and find out more info about more characters in the club.

I read this set in a boxed set on Amazon if you would like to read and continue the series with me. Down & Dirty: Books 4-6: Dirty Angels MC (Dirty Angels MC Series Box Set Book 2) As an Amazon associate I earn for qualifying purchases.
