Forever Touched (A Touch of Vampire Book 5) by Becky Moynihan

Rating: 5 out of 5.

A debt to a vampire is forever . . .

As a witch living among bloodthirsty vampires, I’m always in danger. But I can’t leave, not until my father’s debt is repaid—a debt that is now mine.

By day, I serve my strict mistress and her two spoiled daughters. By night, I’m a dancer at an exclusive vampire-owned nightclub.

And that’s not all.

Desperate to work off my indenture, I agree to a secret job that could get me killed. If that isn’t enough, Prince Everett D’angelo unexpectedly invades my world.

The crown vampire prince is cruel and a notorious witch hunter. If he learns the truth about my shady job, I’m as good as dead.

FOREVER TOUCHED is Everett’s story, a standalone enemies to lovers, fated mates, forbidden romance, and a dark Cinderella retelling. It’s a continuation of the A Touch of Vampire world intended to be read after Sun Touched.

My Review

This story is a sultry vampire romance with a protective Prince, a Cinderella-like witch in despair, and the fate of a kingdom. Everett and Adalyn are sizzling hot in their chemistry, with plenty of new adult/mature interactions. The storyline is fraught with internal issues, unknown magic, and the cutest familiar. I love the rags to riches and fated mate tropes in this, and I appreciated the content warning from the author. This book is an interconnected standalone. The ending of this book is fabulous, heart-wrenching, and binge-read-worthy. I hope you enjoy this sizzling hot vampire romance.

Everett is on a mission in a sultry nightclub. He is entranced by the performer known as Star. Her beauty is ethereal, and she utterly captivates him.

Adalyn is barely a new adult. She has some despicable living conditions and seems to be a witch. She has a cute, familiar, and horrible mistress. Her side of the story almost resembles Cinderella‘s, with her being the slave to three needy vampires. Poor girl is damaged but a fighter as she struggles daily.

This story gets steamy quickly, but then he goes into a vicious spiral of self-desperation. Everett’s character is curious about the witch, and it encapsulates all his thoughts. Oh, her witchy powers are seductive and enthralling.  Their intimacy almost has a forbidden romance, which is intriguing. Her secrets come out, as does his.

Oh, it makes more sense now, and Everette is so overprotective. I love the possessive vibes. He is also such a bad boy. Some internal issues in her life are the only things keeping these two apart. This story has a lot on intimacy as it moves forward slowly. All the pieces will work out, but getting there takes a while. By the way, this book ended perfectly, and yes, I binge-read the entire story in about 6 hours.

Typically, I like my stories a little less steamy. Still, This book had great chemistry with the characters and enough storyline to keep the story flowing, although it was slower in parts.
