Elemental wolves descended from a single Goddess, and Zeus descended from the strongest of shifter lines. An Alpha of the Moon Realm Kingdom, Zeus finally finds what he has always wanted. Unable to control his wolf, he’s forced to hide a dark secret that drives her away. She belongs to him, and this possessive Alpha will claim what’s his. Determined to follow her to the ends of the earth, they set out to find the one person in Alaska who could help them.
Hazel hasn’t stopped running after being abused and branded as a traitor by her old pack. Trust is not a luxury she can afford. She’s seen his type before and will do anything to keep from losing her heart to him. When her past comes back to haunt her, Zeus will stop at nothing to keep her safe only to discover that Hazel is no ordinary wolf.
For centuries, shifters have died in the quest to unravel the mysteries of the Moon Goddess, harness the Gods’ gifts, and prevent The Rise of The Lycans.
(Alpha Chronicles can be read as stand-alone novels. But why would you want to? They’re all set in the same world and have some crossovers most enjoy! While each book is its own story, it is all leading up to Rise of The Lycans!)
My Review
This story is an intriguing paranormal romance stand-alone that is part of a series but could be read by itself. This is Hazel and Zeus’s story. The book is filled with adventure, magic, and the supernatural. I love that it also contains a fated mate’s slow-burn romance with a damaged but brave mc and an almost feral alpha. Hazel’s story is dark, but the author presents it in a way that does justice. Alpha Zeus is a possessive alpha male and struggles to win his female. This isn’t love at first sight but embracing the past to move into the future in their actions and thoughts.
We begin this story with Alpha Zeus. He is troubled over his mate, his control, and his lack of bonding. He may be from a
I would love to read Ambrose’s entire story and romance. He is a prestigious wolf shifter and elemental family, but he is almost feral. He has internal and external struggles dealing with his damaged mate and wolf issues. I’m sure his mate’s story will come out and will be heartbreaking.
His mate seems to have some magic even though she has had a difficult upbringing. I love that we get her pov, significantly since she is damaged and disabled due to her difficult life. This book back flashes a lot to nightmares, memories, or thoughts. It is helpful but interrupts the adventure. I do like the backstory we get and the dual pov.
What an adventure from New York to Alabama, Oregon, Canada, and Alaska. This author sure knows how to quench my wanderlust. Hazel is a unique girl, and even though she is mute, she is full of life and love. I do love her different talents and the intrigue behind them. I also love they don’t mate right away; instead, it’s a slow burn process with a steamy ending. The answers come and get very mythological, but I love how the author teaches us the info.
I love that Hazel was so unique and the slow-burn romance that led to her embracing and trusting her new mate. I like how the author adds to the story and leaves us with a cliffhanger. I’m sure it has something to do with future books, and I can’t wait.
