My Review

I have to say I’m so excited to read this book. The first one astounded me; if you haven’t read it yet, Filthy Rich Vampire, you must go check it out. I didn’t know I needed this in my life, but I’m not regretting it. I can’t wait to read the continuation of Thea and Julian’s story.

Unfortunately, things aren’t happy when we drop into Julian and Thea’s lives. If you remember the end of the last book, you will understand.

This story gets thrilling and suspicious as a new player is introduced. The clues in the puzzle are slowly revealed as the story progresses. I’m surprised by how quickly this story moves back to what we wanted before the drama in the last story. However, I’m not saying I’m not enjoying it just I thought she would play harder to get this time. The relationship is like a storm. With so many moments of back and forth, it is hard to keep up. But it seems they have some answers to find before anything else occurs.

We get clues to a secret that has been revealed, yet something that will be more complicated than the vampire /human romance that began this journey. Thea has some interesting occurrences, and I can’t wait to get the answers. Of course, the waffling on the mating thing is somewhat annoying, but I enjoy their interactions. Julian is so protective and sweet. I like that this book finally got steamy.

This paranormal is so addicting that I forget I’m reading about vampires and getting lost in the billionaire and his lady parts of the story. Omg, I love what his mother did and in character nonetheless. This is like a grown-up version of Twilight, and I can’t get enough of Julian and Thea.

This book is a mindscrew with the hot-and-cold whiplash between chapters. Unfortunately, there are more questions than answers even as this story progresses to new paranormal characters. It isn’t often a book leaves me speechless, but this one has certainly done it. Of course, the author ends this book on a cliffhanger quite literally. But another book is coming soon, and I can’t wait.
