Sharon Wray is Amazon’s Best Selling author of the Deadly Force Series. She writes romantic suspense, mystery, and thrillers that are action-packed and leave you swooning at the end. Question 1 If you could pick one thing to remove/change from any of your books or book, what would it be?

I had to take out the scene where Rafe makes his tithe to the Fianna and the Prince and realizes what a terrible mistake he’s made. My publisher took it out because of the length of the book.

Question 2 What part of the book was the most fun to write?

I loved writing Nate’s scenes because I love being in his POV.

Question 3 What is the significance of the title?

My publisher chose the title. The publisher went through a ton of titles, but that’s the one the marketing department liked the best.

Question 4 If you’re planning a series, can you share a tiny bit about your plans for it

This is a 12-book series with a few spin-off novels to help fill in the series’ backstory. Three of the main series are already out, and the fourth–A Promise at Midnight–comes out next year. My newest release is Love’s Last Kiss, the first of the spin-off novels where we discover what happens to secondary characters between Every Deep Desire (book 1) and One Dark Wish (book 2).

Question 5 What’s your favorite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?

I love visiting Savannah, where this story takes place, because my parents used to live there, and I have wonderful memories of our time in that city.

Question 6 What’s your favorite writing snack or drink?

Coffee with cream in the morning. Unsweetened iced tea in the afternoon.

Question 7 If your book were made into a movie, which actors would play your characters?

I wish I had an answer for this, but I don’t. I always struggle with this question because the images of the characters I have in my mind never match up with potential actors. So I really don’t know who I’d choose. But I’d love to know who you would choose!

Question 8 What was your favorite song while writing this book? Do you have a playlist I can share?

Question 9 Describe your writing space?

I have a small desk in my kitchen near the sliding glass door that leads to the backyard garden. It’s bright and quiet, and I can let the dogs in and out, and I can watch what’s happening at the bird feeders and birdbaths.

Question 10 What advice do you have for writers/authors?

Never, ever, ever give up. If you never give up, you will eventually succeed. Just don’t give up!

Question 11 If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

My old copy of Wuthering Heights and my laptop so I can keep writing.

Question 12 If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?

A female deer. I’m watchful and careful and terribly protective of those I love.

I have had the privilege of reading and reviewing some of Sharon’s books in the Deadly Force Series. I really enjoyed the writing style and twisted suspense she captures in her stories.
