I’ve been rejected by everyone—but an alpha heir wants me to be his pretend mate.
As the only wolf shifter in my pack not to shift, being rejected from my home when I turned eighteen was not unexpected when the shifter war is so close. But being sent to a secret academy full of immortal wolf shifters, demons, and teachers with no morals wasn’t something I planned for.
Luna Alpha Academy is for rejects only.
They choose wolves that no one cares about if they go missing and if I can survive long enough to learn the dark magic they teach, I might even be welcome back home as a wolf-witch.
Only catch?
My tutor is a hot shifter asshole who takes what he wants—this time it’s me.
In exchange for extra training, Atlas wants me to pretend to be his.
Every kiss, every possessive touch, every growl to anyone that comes near me only makes me want him more.
But I can’t have him. Not really.
He’s the alpha heir.
I’m a wolf who can’t even shift.
We don’t belong together, and it’s fake. It can’t ever be real.
Dark magic is my future and my only way back to my pack.
I’m rejecting him—even if my heart doesn’t agree.
Atlas Arcturus is trouble. I knew it from the start. I knew it from the second he kissed me after I agreed to be his pretend girlfriend.
But I seriously underestimated how one alpha heir could take my heart and destroy it.
Now I have to pick up the pieces and survive what the academy throws at me.
There is a traitor in the academy, someone who is feeding information to the wearbears. I’m tasked with working with Atlas to find out who it is.
The more time I spend around him, I realise he should have always stayed my enemy.
My tutor. Off-limits to me.
Because once I gave Atlas Arcturus my heart, my body, and my soul, I should have known he wouldn’t ever give it back.

My Review
I got sucked immediately into this paranormal fiction with Nyx being different, bullied, rejected; her character intrigued me. Add in an alpha heir, dark magic, and her being different plus a fake relationship/ friend to lovers relationship, and I’m completely captivated by the characters. I love how the author turned the tables on a typical paranormal fiction story with her twists and new ideas. I can’t wait to see what happens to Nyx and Atlas. I want to know more about Nyx and why she is so different, and all of these questions will hopefully be answered in the upcoming books.
Nyx is an eighteen-year-old human who doesn’t have shifter capabilities like her parents or sister. She is stressed with her inability to shift and the pack traditions coming up. What will happen to her?
She isn’t rejected by a mate, well, but not in a sense I expected. Instead, she is rejected by her pack Alpha and her pack, the only place she has known for eighteen years. Her sister does bring up a place for people like her, an academy of sorts. Her outcast walk gets creepy as her sister gives her clues to find this academy, and her mother gives her a necklace. But too that off with a long lonely walk to find a particular landmark and what happens after she sees it.
Nyx joins him with many questions, and they make their way to this infamous Academy. Luna Wolf Academy is a weird name for what actually happens there. Magic and supernatural are things at this academy, and jerk wad mentors. Nyx can’t help but be sassy, and I love her personality. Somehow her first day went downhill even though I thought it was great; however, her mentor had an alternate plan for her, including a fake relationship.
This book is full of drama and interesting paranormal characters. Atlas is the son of a wolf shifter Alpha and a senior student; he is also an insufferable jerk and cocky as heck, but he gets her to agree to this fake relationship. I like that Nyx is different. Apparently, her differences mean trouble in the war they are fighting. This book ends romantically in turmoil and with a cliffhanger of information.
This paranormal fiction is riddled with magic, action, adventure, and romance. I loved this book and the characters. Nyx and Atlas draw you into the story with their powers and steamy scenes, but this story is twisted and suspenseful. Of course, I liked the love triangle and more questions being answered. I can’t believe who the surprise is and what happened; omg, there aren’t words for how fantastic this read is.
This book starts a few months into the future after the last book ended on that emotional cliffhanger. Atlas and Nyx are back to being enemies but still must work together.
This book has a little love triangle between Atlas, Nyx, and Tobias, but this is between the action and supernatural parts of the story. The mission is intense with many characters, including those we haven’t really met.
Things heat up as the war gets more inter-tangled with the Academy and the wolf witches’ lives. They have a surprise in their midst, and you’ll be stunned to find out who. I won’t reveal it; you have to read it for yourself. I love how heroic and amazing Nyx is getting with her powers and her answers. Her love affair with Atlas is so sweet, and the perfect dose of romance amidst the action, adventure, and battles. This book gets crazy and leaves you on a horrible cliffhanger; at the end of the story, the next book is due in May of 2022. I personally can’t wait to read it and finish the story with Atlas and Nyx.
