My Review
This book is a fun holiday read with a jaded woman and a hot male; you don’t want to miss the steamy and suspenseful moments in this short story.
I love the unknown quote at the beginning of this book. Megan is anxious, scared, and ready to move away from her abusive relationship. She dreams of a quaint escape to a picturesque mountain town with sprawling forest and snow-laden peaks.
The author does an excellent job of not over describing her predicament but just enough knowledge for you to piece it together.
Megan gets her trip with her friend Alyssa. They are heading to a cabin in Vermont. The bartender at the local bar has a chilling warning about the local bears and the danger of Bear Mountain. Megan is a little scared and shy, not wanting to attract any man’s attention, so of course she does.
Mason is so smooth and friendly, also hot and muscular. Megan keeps getting distracted by his physique .just as this book starts to get hot, one suspense adds to the equation. What is Mason? And who is watching?
Wow, what a wake-up call for Megan. I don’t think Mason planned to tell her his secret like that, but what a way to reveal it. Oh, I love how this story ended.
