My mate is a vampire… and I’m rejecting our bond.

Ezra is insufferable, the vampire somehow always knowing exactly what to say or do to get under my skin. As a witch, something about his aura has me constantly on edge.

When a paranormal attack on Pleasant Grove leaves him injured, I don’t hesitate to give him my blood. What was supposed to heal him ended up tying us together, since it turns out I’m his fated mate.

Now, we’ll be stuck together for the rest of eternity unless we can find a way to break the bond.

But every night we spend looking for a way out, the more I realize that there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for the mate I rejected—even if it means becoming eternally his.

My Review

Ezra is an old vampire, a born and breed one to be the most powerful. Unlike other supernaturals he has no love lost for witches yet he has come to pleasant grove to help a friend.

Sabrina or Rina is a witch in the small town of pleasant grove, she can see aura’s. She also has horrible luck with dating. She thinks she is nothing special but he thinks but is determined it couldn’t be . I kid a love that Ezra is a vampire but can shift into a bat.

Oh under precarious circumstances a little kindness turns theese enemies to something more I wouldn’t say lover at this point in time. But fate has some plans for them. I love everybody character in this book and every paranormal romance with different supernatural creatures. They are standalone books but they are interconnected. The age gap is what your would expect with a vampire mc. Not sure about he grumpy/sunshine trope it is obviously their but it seems like it so more barbed banter then actual personality traits.

“Ezra was temptation and sin, all wrapped up in one perfect chiseled body.” Their road trip is long and lands them in North Dakota. But will it solve their issues? Probably too early in the story to know for sure. On finally it get steamy but they still very much dislike each other.

They blow past steamy into sizzling and the author even add new additions to the vampire lore with knotting. I love the way the story stands out with unique details and characters but also their enemies to lovers, is very valid and they have a star crossed thing going as well. But their interactions add like sparing with knives until it I more sweet and tender. This vampire romance is well written and thoroughly enjoyable.

As always the interspecies mating, internal struggles  and found family shine in this story , this was the perfect read bringing both some paranormal, a whole lot of spice and a found family of characters and their stories to melt your heart. I can’t wait for the next book . I have enjoyed all the books so far and this series is just so well written. I love that they are interconnected standalone and that each story is different.
