Parker seems perfect in his online profile. Billionaire, handsome, multiple PhDs, CTO of a huge company. ‘Til he stands me up and I see him on a date with another girl.

Yes, I freaked the F-out. No, jail wasn’t fun. And it also wasn’t fun when I showed up for my new job the next day to find out that, guess who, is my new boss.

But he is big—in more ways than one.

And I do have a big problem.

Common sense says to find anyone other than Parker Svensson with his scowl, his obnoxious boasting about his net worth, and his drool-worthy, washboard abs.

But when he offers to help me solve my huge virginity problem, well let’s just say I don’t want him for his brain, I’m only after his body.

My Review

Sadie is a Southern girl, curvy, broke, and trying to figure out how her inheritance situation led her here. She’s also inexperienced and hoping one big date might change things… except she gets stood up by Parker Svensson. To make it worse, she spots him out with someone else.

Parker’s life is chaotic. He lives with his siblings in the Harrogate house and is constantly juggling family and responsibilities. His brothers decide he needs an assistant and, of course, that ends up being Sadie. Then the situation gets even messier when he becomes her boss at her workplace and neither of them really knows how to handle the misunderstanding between them.

The food innuendos throughout the book are honestly hilarious and constant. The tone leans very mature new adult and the chemistry between Sadie and Parker quickly turns from awkward to very intense as they spend more time together.

This story focuses more on relationship dynamics and the unique Harrogate family history than on a big external plot. The romance becomes the center of everything and definitely leans into the steamier side of the series.

The grand gesture only works because it’s Harrogate, ridiculous but still swoony. It wraps up sweetly with more humor and romance. While this one had less plot than others and leaned heavier into spice, it was still an entertaining read.
