I’ve been thrown out of a plane and dropped on an island full of gorgeous, massive men.

Did I mention that said men are all magical fae guys competing for the right to marry me?

Yeah, it’s a mess.

Every man on the island has the same two goals:

Defeat his competitors, and win my heart.

Luckily, I know one of the guys.

We’re not exactly friends, but I can kind of trust him.

Working together secretly, we have to keep the truth hidden and play the game alongside everyone else… because there’s no way off this island without becoming someone’s mate.

*SURVIVOR meets magic and epic love in this fun, steamy standalone romance with a happily ever after!

My Review

Molly is ready for her trip to the Fae Bachelorette mansion. The dystopian vibes are there right from the start, with Fae and humans sharing the same world. She has had a Fae guardian since becoming compatible to be a Fae wife, and the backstory and world building are laid out wll enough to pull you quickly into this romantasy adventure.

Well, this definitely is not how she expected things to go. With new rules and a new location, Molly finds herself thrust into a Fae Survivor-style competition where she must choose a husband and grant him immortality. I loved the blend of human and fantasy elements, and the inspiration behind the story is incredibly creative.

Things get even more interesting when Cam, her Fae bodyguard, enters the mix. There are a lot of names, magical abilities, and details to keep track of, from mental magic to elemental gifts and more. Molly is often confused by everything happening around her, but honestly, I don’t blame her.

The title doesn’t lie. This story is sizzling hot between dreams and reality. It is the perfect summer romantasy to burn through on your Kindle. I absolutely flew through this book. Between the angsty tension, the competition, and the secrets buried beneath the sand, I could not stop turning the pages.

One thing I appreciated was that the story focuses on love and choice rather than simply forcing a fated mate connection. The romance feels earned. Watching the relationship develop was sweet, especially as one character goes out of his way to pamper Molly and prove how much she means to him. The bodyguard dynamic quickly becomes so much more.

The cast includes Fae with a variety of abilities, from shifting and elemental magic to mind reading. These powers help each character stand out and give the competition a unique feel. While this is a fast-paced read, I found the world and characters fascinating. There are plenty of fun moments, emotional scenes, and edge-of-your-seat twists to keep things moving. We even get a touch of politics woven into the story, which adds another layer to the world.

This story wrapped up beautifully, and I was completely entranced from beginning to end. Between the islands, the sunshine, the sand, and the Survivor-inspired premise, it felt like the perfect summer read. I probably won’t jump into the next book immediately, but I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted romantasy and had a great time with it.
