My Review

We get to join Lyra again as she finds more of her mates, increases her powers, and finds her own strengths. 

So she meets her Winter Knight Khade at the ball. What a way to thrust you into the fantasy right away. Things are still complicated between her and Axel, and even more so now. 

The author gets more risqué with the new mate, and this book definitely has new adult content. I like how this incorporates a reverse harem with multiple partners but doesn’t use multiples in the same scenes. The book is very steamy, bordering on sizzling, but it also has plenty of magical items, not just hot scenes. 

We now know her fated mates, but only some are bonded. Some of the age gap was a genuine surprise. I’m still rooting for Axel. I know he messed up badly, but they have come such a long way. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. 

This book has more winter themes than autumn, but I did so enjoy the cozy cabin. However, the author also ends this on a cliffhanger.
