Rating: 5 out of 5.

Crimson Skies is the epic conclusion to the Fallen Fae Gods duet.
***

Nothing is ever as it seems. Especially when you unintentionally stumble into a fantasy world.

As a perfectly ordinary human, the last thing I ever expected was to find myself thrown headfirst into a world of fae, magic—sorry, energy manipulation, and dragons.

Dragons who also happen to be gods, revered amongst the multitude of fae races.

Known as the Fallen Five, they crash landed in Risest decades ago, when their home world was destroyed… or so they thought.

They were all deceived.

It turns out that the traitor in their midst, the very reason I was brought into the land of Risest and kept as a pet traitor-sleuth, was none other than their mother.

A mother-dragon who is hell bent on invading their world and burning everything down around them.

The Fallen Five have no choice now but to work together, uniting their five lands for the first time since they fell to Risest.

Divided they are weak, but united they have a chance.

My place in this battle is beyond every belief. My destiny greater than feels possible, but I know I’ll do whatever it takes to ensure my friends and family survive this battle.

Even if it means I must make the hardest decision of them all.

*Crimson Skies is book two in a romantasy duet. This is the conclusion to the story and DOES NOT end on a cliffhanger. Tropes include dragon shifter and human romance, f0rced proximity, fated mates, touch her and d, portal to a faerie world. This book is recommended for 18+ due to language and adult situations.

My Review

This fantasy romance is the second half of a duet, the first part starting with Gilded Wings, and I hope it is turned into a more extended series. It centers around Morgan, who is human in a Fae fantasyland. She is the fated mate to a dragon-shifter God; the rest is action-packed and steamy. But this story is fascinating, funny, and super hot. I loved all the characters and their unique personalities. I really enjoyed escaping into this story. The banter in this story is fantastic. I hope the author continues the series with the rest of the Fallen Gods finding their fated mates.

We begin with Zahak and Morgan trapped in a tunnel. This gets intriguing as he discloses some stuff about fated mates and his family history.

I love that we get Morgan’s povs as well. She handles it with a lot of grace for a human. The tunnels are freaky and filled with all manners of things in this Fae land that can harm and hurt Morgan. I absolutely love Astra.

Zahak is strange, but their bond seems genuine. However, even though the actual mating hasn’t happened, Morgan is still intrigued and being tossed around in a possessive love triangle.

Dragur is an A+ grade alpha hole competitive god who tends to get his way in the most unkind of ways. It’s incredible how your perspective on him changes in this book.

Morgan, the human and a heroine and mate to one of these Gods is so strange, but she is funny, caring, and perfectly matched to make you root for her character. This book gets steamy as the author brings in more fated mates’ intimacy.

Omg, parts of this action-adventure book even have me teary-eyed. The steamy scenes and knotting are hot enough to be dragon fire. This story is action-packed and intense as they fight for freedom, love, and their lands. But I love Morgan in this story.
