My Review

This book is titled Book 3 in this series, but it is really Book 4. This book picks up where the last book left off. The previous book ended on a cliffhanger with an unexpected twist in the story.

We begin this book from Kira’s perspective, picking up where Escaping Rejection left off. The Reject Project has ended abruptly, and chaos and action are their lives now as they are stuck on the island. In a strange twist, Kira befalls circumstances unexpectedly, and now, what will Wyatt do?

Her past tragedy seems to have come back even on the remote island. We also get Wyatt’s POV. Kiras and Wyatt’s reunion is nothing short of sizzling and action-packed. This book is kind of dragging for me, and I don’t know why. The original basis of the story is no longer part of it, and it has moved on to other issues. 

Ah, the author brings in this story’s more classic fated mates, as you didn’t expect. Also, the story has many sizzling scenes. 

This book takes a turn, and they end up back at the beginning, except things have changed between them, around them, and with them. Two goddesses, one scientist, and an impossible choice. But of course, these heroes make the right choice despite themselves. 

Despite all the politics in this book, we finally get a happy, ever-after ending for Wyatt and Kira. I love that their story takes them on a journey culminating in revolution. They truly break the system and rebuild a new one.
