This is book 11 in the Afterlife saga.
The end of days might be over for our newlyweds, but the dark nights are closing in and what lies waiting in the shadows is what even nightmares are afraid of. Because the King of Hell is back and now he has a new bride to keep hidden from the world below…a world that shows no mercy, right along with one of their rulers.
Could it really be that Draven is keeping secrets from Keira and if so, how is she ever to reach him when he is hiding in plain sight?
A Demon King has finally returned home, and this time…
There isn’t an Angel in sight.

My Review
This story wasn’t what I expected, and it wasn’t my favorite. There were some amazingly sweet moments and moments of dying of laughter, but most of the story was looking pack at the past. They did have some fantastic moments of normalcy and even romance. Of course, this book includes steamy scenes and danger. This book ends on a cliffhanger.
This book comes with a warning for mature and explicit content. The book begins with a reflection from Kiera on the past and what she desires for the future and an understanding of what part is coming and why she is not surprised.
We get dropped straight into their new parenthood. This book jumps around on the timeline a lot; it then jumps back to before the baby, then baby shopping, then the wedding day. Omg, supernatural baby shopping had me rolling in laughter as I read the story.
Of course, just as you think they finally get happily ever after, some new atrocity pops up, threatening their comfortable existence. This book spends a lot of time remembering past events from other books.
I did enjoy the normalcy of the relationship in this book, but we seem to go back to a lack of trust, lies, and more danger. I was hoping it was more about her pregnancy which was covered very little in the story. The book ends on a cliffhanger, and the second part is in the last book in this series.
This book is the last in the series, and instead of battling outside forces, they are battling parts of themselves. This book had its sweet moments but also its adventurous action-packed ones. It was a great ending to the series.
This book is the second part of book 11 and the end of Kiera and Draven’s story. This book has a warning for mature, explicit content like all the others. This read does pick up where the other ended. However, it seems the danger has been identified and isn’t done yet.
We get moments of sweetness and happiness and moments that are twisted with yet another problem to solve. I’m glad Sophia and Pip are in this story, as I love when the trio of Ladies are together kicking demon butt. However, we also get more pregnancy stuff in this book.
I’m glad this read wasn’t as dramatic or emotional as the others. The whole cast is in this book, and I’m not sure who has gone crazy, Kiera or Draven, as they both seem to be battling stuff internally. Kiera has to go to hell again, but this book ends surprisingly.
I really did enjoy this emotional, paranormal series and look forward to reading more by this author.
