My Review

I love all of Paulina Vasquez’s books, and I am excited to read this one. If you haven’t read her before, I recommend you begin with The Broken Trilogy.

This story is so intermingled and connected that I thought the Greek families were challenging to track add in Italy and Omg. I love reading about this badass Alpha female. She is strong, courageous, and loving but also deadly. This was a fantastic read and could be standalone, but I also tied it back to the other books and characters. Alpha Annabeth is a force to be reckoned with. The LaRue and Theodorus family is supportive and loving. I like how there was a female lead in this book.

Annabeth is a quiet tomboy and doesn’t fit in perfectly in her family due to the secrets she must keep. She is one of the children from Raven and Dimitri and part of The Olympus Blood Moon pack. She has had issues with her first mate, and this topic seems to be unnerving for her. She has a few secrets she is keeping from her family for her own reasons.

She doubts she will get a second chance even though it isn’t her fault. However, the intertwining ties of this family can get confusing. Unknowingly she finds a chosen mate that is suited for her Alpha blood. However, some secrets are staying secrets for now from her family especially. Still, the author does a great job connecting it all for the readers.

Alpha Santino Russo of Italy is quite the gentleman, and we get the ultimate tour of Italy near Tuscany when they go to his pack. I love the action and adventure the author includes in these books. This book, of course, gets some steam, and this chosen mate couple gets closer to each other.

Wow, this story gets unexpectedly dark just when I started to like him. I am pretty surprised by the turn of events. The turn of events leads her to her second chance mate, and this book finally gets the sweet, steamy romance I was looking for. The good guys aren’t who I thought they would be in this story.

This book is so good, filled with some suspense, fated mates, and secrets. I also like the revenge plot and feel it is well deserved. I can’t wait till our heroine decimates the men who did her wrong. It is so hard to write a review for this book and not give away all the secrets. But you must read this if you love strong female characters.
