My Review
This book has a different vibe than the last Evil Dead Mc Book I read. This book is more possessive, protective males and hard head women along with forced proximity and the struggle that create a little intrigue and suspense. This girl is no petal; she is tough but also damaged and running from her life. I love that this club has outlaw and bad boy vibes but also cares for women. This book is very much an opposites-attract romance with a side of grief. The ending of this book is delightful, but it is a lot of drama and steamy scenes to get there.
I love that these biker romance books can be read as a standalone, even though they are in a series. The prologue of this book is suspenseful.
The book begins with Crash and his outlaw Evil Dead Mc brothers. We get a nice intro to Cole and Angel and some trouble a friend Shannon is in. Crash accepts the responsibility for Shannon as she lays lows; she is a knock-out babe but has a heck of an attitude.
Things heat up for her, the club, and the volatile relationships. I love that crash is a no-nonsense guy. I also love the camaraderie in the book between the club brothers and the old ladies. This couple of opposites has so much fire but so much chemistry as well. I’m not surprised this turns a little steamy.
The banter in this book is so fantastic. This book gets suspenseful as you know something big is coming. I can’t believe it; that man wants to be a dead man for his actions. The story does resolve one of the main conflicts, but what brings one couple closer pushes another apart. Then the author takes a trip down memory lane. The grief-stricken Crash isn’t my favorite character, but I love this romance’s resolution. This book is different but still a good read.
