A sexy, small town, opposites attract rom com!
He wears suits and ties. He’ll one day inherit a fortune. He has a law degree. He shines his shoes, for God’s sake. What is she doing attracted to a guy like him? But she is. She so is.
She drives air boats on the bayou, drinks and cusses, and gives city boys in suits a hard time just for fun. Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He definitely can’t.
A weekend trip to Savannah for a fancy-schmancy party with his highfalutin family is the surefire way to prove that they have nothing in common but intense chemistry. And to maybe scratch this I’ve-never-wanted-anyone-like-I-want-you itch once or twice. Or five times.
But it takes only about twenty-four hours for the bayou girl and the city boy to figure out that they don’t really know much at all–about each other, or about themselves. And figuring all of this out is going to be downright crazy.
My Review
This contemporary romantic comedy book is filled with unforgettable characters, funny conversations, and a crazy family you can’t help but fall in love with; come meet the Landry family. Kennedy Landry is a little rebellious, bossy, and naughty. She meets her match in Bennett Baxter, the new Boys of the Bayou owner, lawyer, and environmental activist. A trip to Savannah, a change in life’s direction, and an opposites-attract romance will leave you page-turning till the end. Don’t forget this book gets steamy amidst all the fun and flirty moments.
This fourth book in the Boys of the Bayou Series focuses on the developing chemistry between Bennett and Kennedy. I honestly can’t wait for this story as they are genuinely opposites, and I love how feisty this bayou girl is and sweet the rich man from Georgia can be.
This author has a way of making you chuckle while you read the outlandish events in this story. Bennett is definitely hot and bothered by Kennedy Landry, but I admire his quick wit and flirty answers. Kennedy can come up with many reasons why she can’t do anything more with Bennett, but I love how different she is when having fun.
Bennett Baxter is looking for something long-term, and Kennedy is looking for a fun time. We’ll have to see how this relationship ends up after all. But in the meantime, I enjoy the quirky conversations, crazy family, and fabulous innuendos.
Marie Baxter is a heinous woman who clearly loves her son but doesn’t understand what he wants. Unfortunately, her subtle warning is enough to scare Kennedy away from anything serious with Bennett.
I love Kennedy’s bayou stories and the way she gets rapt attention. She is a firecracker, but I love her character. Kennedy finds a lot about herself in Savannah, and things begin to change for her and Bennett and The Boys of The Bayou business. This book gets steamy as they discover their chemistry and what turns them on.
I love Bennett’s crazy gesture; it is so sweet; omg, swoon. Okay, the end of this is fun and fantastic. We get a happy for now ending, which works well for this couple, but we also get a happily ever after from a previous couple.
