Real Forever (Snowbrook Series Book 1)by Everly Prince

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It all started with a little blackmail.

When Madison sets out to get back at the woman who screwed over her sister, the last place she expects to end up is half-naked on the floor of the Hotel Rosemont with Jake Murphy.

Jake is the gorgeous newcomer in Madison’s tiny hometown, and he’s just as sweet and warm as her sister’s famous cinnamon rolls. Lord knows why he offered to help Madison with her well-intentioned, but definitely illegal plan, but she can’t afford to say no.

But Madison’s blackmail scheme isn’t the only thing that’s getting dangerous.

Though they both fight it, the heat between Madison and Jake is building faster than the blizzard outside, and it all comes to a head when they get snowed in at the last hotel room in town.

Now they can’t keep their hands, or lips, off each other.

It’s fun in the snow by day and steam in the sheets by night, until Madison and Jake are forced to make an impossible decision.

And either way, one of them will lose everything.

My Review

This book is an emotional and drama whirlwind about finding unexpected love, fighting for family, and many emotional issues. The characters are relatable, as well as the storylines. I love how the author shows their weakness but also their strength. This book gets very emotional and twisted and steamy, and some of the topics brought up may trigger some. However, this was a great read. I absolutely love the epilogue. I received this book as an arc, and I am leaving an honest review. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author.

This book does have a content warning; the author provides a link to check out to see what they may entail.

Wow, a bunch of stuff the author mentions in this book has been prevalent on social media; the characters and their issues are relatable. Madison loves her sister Lauren, but she seems to have gotten herself into some trouble. The family dynamic is sweet, and love between the sisters and her niece. I love that this hints at a small town.

Jake is a punctual, prepared businessman who plans everything he has a roommate Zach who isn’t like him. Again we get interesting, dynamic, and relatable items in our everyday life. His job, on the other hand, I don’t pretend to understand. Wow, Madison and especially Lauren are a hot mess. Madison cooks up an idea after a crazy meeting, horrible circumstances, and a man she can’t get out of her head. I feel many ladies can relate to what is happening in this book, at least thus far.

Oh, a series of unfortunate events, and nothing happens, no steamy because he is too lovely, swoon. The addition of his willingness to help with everything and I think this guy might be the perfect book boyfriend. Their attraction to each other is magnetic, but they both have reasons why now isn’t a good time to lose focus. Her sister’s world is about to be a colossal dumpster fire.

Finally, this book gets steamy as things explode between them with the attraction. Madison is undoubtedly dealing with a lot of emotional baggage; it makes the reader feel all the emotions. On the other hand, Jake seems to fight with his struggles. This book turns as cheaters are found; they confront their issues and solve their problems. The epilogue of this book is excellent, and I can’t wait to read more by this author.
