My Review
This book is unlike the others in the series. I thought this would be about Draven and Kiera and a new enemy causing trouble; in one sense, I was correct; however, the author did this in such a way that I thought she had lost it. As you read through this strange twisted story, you begin to understand where the author was taking this and what all was in play. I was bewildered for most of the book, but it did resolve my questions. This book, like the others, contains supernatural aspects, fallen angels, demons, and battles plenty of action and adventure to keep you turning pages. It also includes our favorite couple Draven and Kiera but just waits to read all the details in this story.
This book has an interesting note from the author. I’m not sure what to expect with the last book ending so happily for once. This book also has a warning for mature and explicit content.
This book begins with Draven and Kiera. She is still having nightmares but can’t explain the details. Kiera is cryptic with her use of she and I as she rambled about stuff we don’t understand yet. Who is this, Katie, and what does she have to do with Kiera? I’m thoroughly confused now.
We keep jumping to Katie’s point of view and experiencing her weird dreams and strange connections to Kiera and Draven. Her twin sister Ari also has them, but she is connected to someone described as an Angel. I’m not sure I understand all of this yet, but definitely intriguing.
Lucius comes into play, and this whole doppelgänger thing with Katie and Kiera gets more interesting. I’m still not sure what is going on. Is this an alternate reality, a different world, or a weird timeline? However, the clues I get seem like it is the same reality.
This book gets steamy as she finds Draven. Is it Kiera or Katie, or are they one and the same? We don’t have many answers yet, and it is still like Deja Vu. Okay, so some of this is starting to make more sense now. However, it is just intriguing the memory loss, but I’m sure it will get explained.
It does get all explained, and wow, is this super twisted. Oh, this book has an even crazier ending than I expected. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
