My Review
This short story is a contemporary romance set around the holidays. Grace goes home and runs into a previous crush. She somehow finds love, and they have to make a long-distance relationship work. What will they do?
Grace is a surgical resident at a hospital. Unfortunately, her job is strenuous, and she sees people she may have met at their worst. She is not patiently waiting in line for coffee when a stranger lets her go first. He says it is for karma and not for being a gentleman and saves her nonetheless.
She got a week off work and didn’t know what to do with herself. So she goes home to her mom’s house. She runs into a high-school
Jock, she had a crush on but also hated. We also get Clay’s point of view.
Forget the humans; I want to know more about this dog, Crash. Crash has a ton of personality and gets into so much trouble, but who could resist a sweet puppy. Grace and Clay get steamy as Grace wants to forget after revealing her emotions and sadness to him. Wow, what a Christmas break, but how do they do long-distance for work?
I love how this book ends. It is so sweet. A perfect sweet short story with memorable characters, especially Crash. This book is part of a series of short stories called Coming Home.
