MINE TO PROTECT. MINE TO PUNISH. MINE.
I’m a lone wolf, and I like it that way. Banished from my birth pack after a bloodbath, I never wanted a mate.
Then I meet Kylie. My temptation. We’re trapped in an elevator together, and her panic almost makes her pass out in my arms. She’s strong, but broken. And she’s hiding something.
My wolf wants to claim her. But she’s human, and her delicate flesh won’t survive a wolf’s mark.
I’m too dangerous. I should stay away. But when I discover she’s the hacker who nearly took down my company, I demand she submit to my punishment. And she will.
Kylie belongs to me.
This story is a bit steamy and a little action-packed and a whole lot of suspense. I did enjoy the shifters and the book. Jackson was a fantastic alphahole, and I loved that Kylie was an independent, strong female. Still, she submitted to so well to Jackson ministrations. This book is the first book in the Alphas Bad Boys series and didn’t disappoint.
The prologue of this book is cryptic with an online conversation between Hacker and Jackson King.
Kylie is an ex-hacker; she was Catgirl at the beginning of the book. Now she is an interview for a position at the company she hacked, not just any position on the security team.
She gets stuck on an elevator and, of course, has a panic attack in front of Jackson, the CEO of the company.
Jackson is the CEO of this security company and, of course, a wolf shifter; he believes her to be his mate, but it is impossible she is human. He is an introverted computer nerd who keeps to himself and doesn’t like people. The banter is fabulous.
In this story, GinRummy, probably an alias, is setting Kylie up to destroy this computer security company and Jackson. This book gets Ya steamy as Jackson can’t keep his hands to himself.
This book is full of action but also inter-species mating. I didn’t expect Kylie to be a shifter, too, and she isn’t a wolf. This book does end happily.
The Alphas Bad Boys series has plenty of other shifter romances to dive into, and this was a grey book for that start of the series. I like that they are all stand-alone stories with HEA but different characters. They are definitely a series to come back to later.
