Welcome to Christmas Grove, where holiday magic and matchmaking is in the air.
When Rex Holiday walks into the charming town of Christmas Grove, all he plans to do is to spend the season helping out at his buddy’s Christmas tree farm. What he doesn’t expect is for an overzealous matchmaker to slip a love potion into his cider. But the joke’s on the resident matchmaker, because not even a potent love spell can break through the walls he’s built around his heart. But when the girl next door catches his eye, some of his barriers start to crumble. Still, Rex Holiday’s time in Christmas Grove is only temporary. He can’t afford to fall in love. Or can he?
Holly Reineer is a powerful spirit witch who can see the future for everyone. Everyone but herself that is. And when Rex Holiday walks into her life, she sees his, too. He’s destined for a big corporate job all the way across the country. So when he starts to show interest in her, she knows it’s only temporary, and Holly’s not interested in a fling. She wants her happily-ever-after. But he’s very hard to resist… Can a love spell rewrite the future? If so, Holly will need to learn to follow her heart and, for once, trust what she can’t see.
My Review
This is a sweet holiday romance about two witches who don’t really practice magic but live and work in a magical town called Christmas Grove. They have some serious chemistry and a lot of broken pieces. Still, they find each other, and the rest is in this book you should definitely read to find out what happens to Holly and Rex. The town and people in the story are delightful. I love all the Christmas elements the author highlighted. The addition of a bit of magic was exciting, but the story’s primary focus is the characters.
The prologue of this book looks interesting; I like that this book hints at including magic, witches, and unexpected holiday romance.
Holly Reindeer is a single woman looking for her happy ever after. She is accidentally hit with a love spell by the new guy in town, Rex Holiday. Her best friend, Ilsa, is funny, witty, and outspoken and definitely didn’t mind any hot guy. Can she do casual?
Holly has a vision; she can see the future but not always her future. Rex has some exciting magic as well. Holly’s past comes back to but her in the butt just as she and Rex get comfortable with each other. The timing on that couldn’t have been better to add drama to the story.
Omg, I love how this book ended. That was a complete surprise; just as I was getting ready to be heartbroken, the author brought back hope for Holly and Rex.
This book is part of a series, and I look forward to reading more in this delightful paranormal holiday read. The last chapter is a start to the next book, and I’m super excited to continue the story with Holly and Rexs friends, Zach and Ilsa in A Witch For Mr. Christmas
