My Review
Right at the beginning, we meet Kairi, acting Luna of the willow haven pack. It is her 18th birthday, and she suddenly finds her mate, but of course, it is the one person she shouldn’t have. A painful rejection and unease lead her to make some life decisions she has to complete independently. Alpha Thorne comes in as a white knight in turmoil, helping her out and making the choices easier. Between both of them, drama is a constant thing that adds to her condition, and this book is action-packed.
This book is also full of love, hardship, tough decisions, and unexpected second chances. I thoroughly enjoyed this read, even with the pain at the beginning of the book. I love that Kairi is a strong character and does as she determines to be best for her and her pack. I was surprised that she got a second chance, but at the same time, I loved how it wasn’t instant love and more like a normal relationship. Alpha Thorne is a strong character in this book. He surprises me with his gentleness, but also his history and tough decisions come into play. I wouldn’t classify this as a Ya read as it does go into some detail on the steamy scenes, but it also contains some gory scenes or descriptions. This read is for a mature adult it could be read as a New Adult Romance.
This book is in a series, but I have decided to not read any further in this series as the following books are about different characters. I want to know more about the characters in this book as I feel it really didnt resolve all my questions. I may read the next book eventually but I feel they are standalone books in the series.
