It’s been a long time since Beth has had anyone make her feel beautiful. Divorced and lacking the confidence to take a chance on love again, she decides to ease into the idea of being in a relationship by hiring an escort to stay with her on her working holiday on a small Greek island.
Being an escort is still new to Evander, but he signed up to try to get over his anxiety about letting someone new into his life. So when the opportunity for a week-long booking arrives, he accepts it with a lot of hope and a few nerves too.
What starts as a simple transaction between these two unlikely lovers soon blossoms into something deeper, something that will change them both forever.
I would call this a short story as it is only 159 pages on kindle. This book is from a dual point of view, jumping between the characters. This book is steamy, like very descriptive intimacy, definitely for a mature audience.
Evander is an escort; he is getting a long-term assignment, and his subconscious gives me a bad dream. He does mention a female name; I’m wondering how that relates to the story later. He goes to meet Beth. Beth is older and a writer. She has hired him to keep her company and sleep with her. They end up in quite an unexpected relationship. But like all things there time together must end at some point, but it doesn’t have to be sad.
This book was fabulous. It was steamy, sweet, and had an excellent point that not all love ends in a happy ending. Sometimes, it is the stepping potion to finding or healing and discovering your own happy ending. Love can change people, and I love how that was represented in the story. Despite the odds against them, the heart wants what the heart wants. But just because it wants doesn’t always mean happily ever after. This story was fantastic, and I love the growth and confidence we got to see in Beth as the story progresses. Yes, there is a ton of steamy scenes in this book. But don’t let them distract you from the heart of the story.
