My Review
This book is more like a short story with only 129 pages on kindle . But the blurb is interesting. I enjoyed the author notes at the beginning of the book. Also the map she included was fantastic . Eisley isn’t happy to move to what she calls retirement, USA. Really is small town in coastal Florida called Blue Bay Beach . She is moving in with mom to get a fresh start .
She gets a job at a local place waiting tables . But they have a fun initiation they have to go out with the next male they serve. The next custom she approached reminds of her a boy she knew and loved before he joined the military . Ford is a there for the summer . He recognized her . Ford has a a lot of baggage and Eisley has a lot of heartbreak when they stopped talking as friends . They make up but things get rocky and they both deal with their own fears .
This story is sweet and lovely perfect summer read . I love the romance and friends to lovers theme . I loved that the author made her characters with damage they were perfect and neither was the past . I love they overcame things to be with each other . This was a sweet , non steamy short story .
