My Review
I really enjoyed the authors tribute at the begging of the book and the reasearch she put into making this a realastic story with connection to who she was honoring with it,
We meet Carl, a smoke jumper wolf shifter who happens to be living his dream but not his parents or his packs. When a jump goes wrong, he finds himself in a unique situation. Michelle is an accountant turned rancher trying to live her dream and finds Carl and helps him. Their romance is super sweet, even if it a little instalove. The book is full of action and surprise from other shifters to a happy ending.
This was a really great read, even though it is fated mates with a wolf shifter and human or ordinary as this author calls them. I love that the author included other shifters in the story, both on the jump team and the surprise Neighbor. Michelle and Carl’s romance is super steamy and full of erotic descriptions. The author did a fantastic job of interrelating her characters’ dreams, so they didn’t both have to give them up when they found each other.
This book is part or a 4 book series called Rocky Mountain Smoke Jumpers and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
