MORE THAN 1 MILLION COPIES SOLD WORLDWIDE
Shy student Penny Taylor always follows the rules. At least, that’s how it appears to her classmates. But she has one illicit secret – she’s fallen hard for her professor. And she’s pretty sure he’s fallen for her too.
Everyone loves Professor Hunter. He’s tall, dark, and handsome. And completely unobtainable. But it’s the secrets hiding behind his deep brown eyes that allures Penny. Secrets darker than she could ever imagine.
James Hunter gave up his billionaire lifestyle in NYC last year to become a professor. The easiest new rule to follow: don’t fraternize with the students. It’s easy to follow because he’s become quite the recluse in his new town – the only way he knows how to keep his secrets buried.
But he never expected to be teaching such a beautiful student. He has to resist her. He needs to walk away. Penny deserves better than a man with his demons. But she’s daring him to cross the line. And he’s never been one to resist temptation.
My Review
This book was recommended to me based on previous readings. I did scan the reviews and some of the comments on Amazon before I choose to read it. At first glance, the plot-line was super interesting a college setting, a man she couldn’t have, and a struggle of morals. However, I began reading this book and getting more involved with the characters’ feelings and thoughts. I couldn’t help but notice how the author made the main character (Penny Taylor) very dramatic. This feeling wasn’t just in this character but in the Professor as well. Every event that happens and takes place in this book is riddled with drama.
This book was a typical Romance book for me to be interested in reading. However, I didn’t expect the rollercoaster of emotions, situations, and outcomes the author guides the reader through in this book. The story very well could happen to anyone besides maybe the Professor being a billionaire.
The story was definitely hot, detailed, and full of surprises. Penny Taylor falls for her Professor before she knows who he is. After the beginning of University, we are surprised to learn that the guy she met is her Professor. Her addiction to the man and the way he makes her feel is highlighted throughout the story. His thoughts and feeling are apparent to us, the reader. The love triangle, possessive nature, and drama, paired with divorce, trouble, and consequences, provide the reader a rollercoaster of situations to follow the characters throughout the story.
I felt confused; there was too much going on and too many factors and choices available for the reader and the character (Penny Taylor) to consider. Whenever she decided, her decision often caused a fight, trouble, or drama between the two main characters. This continues throughout the story leaving the reader emotionally confused and disconnected from the characters. The story ends with lots of questions and emotions, setting us up to grab the next book in the series.
I read and reviewed the second book in this series but did not read any further into the Hunted Series. So by all means, decide for yourself on this one.
This book is for a mature audience as it includes adult content.
