Book 1 – Cowboy Dragon
Save a horse, ride a cowboy dragon…
Marian West has nothing left to her name but her car (which is currently broken down), an old coin in her pocket, and the legend of a man named Harrison, who she’s currently looking for. But instead of finding the last person that can help her, she gets a pack of hungry coyotes instead. By either good or bad luck, she’s rescued by a tall, gorgeous stranger with eyes bluer than a Texas sky. He’s dominant and commanding and everything Marian hates about cowboys. He’s also irresistible, and her only hope.
Harrison didn’t expect to find the curvy, stubborn human woman so interesting. After saving her from coyotes and more, the experienced cowboy boss of Dragonclaw Ranch knows he owes Marian for a favor her father did for him a long time ago. But his dragon says “mate” every time he looks at her, and even though he’s going to help the determined woman, it will be difficult to keep the monster inside him from wanting to make her his own.
As Marian and Harrison grow closer, unexpected kisses lead quickly to scorching nights beneath the full Texas moon. Danger and secrets lurk around every corner, but anything that threatens a Texas dragon’s mate will quickly learn that everything is bigger in Texas. Even a dragon’s love.
Book 2 – Rancher Dragon
Save a horse, ride a rancher dragon…
Beck is a big, growly mountain of a man with a monster of a dragon inside him. He keeps to himself, only leaving Dragonclaw Ranch when his inner beast feels unsafe for his friends. But when a brush with death makes Beck give a stranger his dragon’s talon coin, he wakes up to a pretty, curvy woman that he now owes a favor. By the way his dragon growls ‘mine’ and ‘mate’, Beck knows it might be safer for them both if he stays away. Until he finds out Sierra’s in danger, and a monster might be just what she needs.
When a huge, gorgeous mountain of a man fell unconscious on Sierra’s land, she didn’t hesitate to ride out and finally meet her intimidating neighbors at Dragonclaw ranch. They all live up to their legends, with gorgeous, silver-eyed Beck catching her eye most of all. But after a grumpy stand-off with Beck, Sierra heads back home, not wanting to cause more trouble. But when Beck shows up and saves her, insisting on staying around, she can hardly say no to the mountain of a man. Especially when all her body wants to say is ‘yes’ to him.
As Beck guards Sierra and helps on her ranch, heat explodes between them under the beautiful western night sky. But Beck knows that even though this is the most happiness he has ever known, Sierra deserves more than a monster with a past soaked in blood. But when danger from multiple quarters comes calling, including a titanic, ancient beast, Beck must make peace with the possessive, giant monster inside him…or lose everything.
Book 3 – Wrangler Dragon
Save a horse, ride a wrangler dragon…
Clancy, head wrangler for the notorious Dragonclaw Ranch, never thought he’d have a mate. After all, swamp dragons like him are infamous for being monstrous killers. But as badly as he wants to keep his past behind him, an unexpected encounter with a curvy store owner puts him face to face with his complex history. In spite of that, her strong personality and cute reactions to him immediately make the beast inside Clancy growl “mate”.
Billie Palmer has finally gotten her hands on the dragon’s talon coin that belonged to Clancy long ago. So when a tall, sexy man comes into her store hoping to take the precious antique off her hands, her answer is no. Even if he has eyes the colors of emeralds and a body that she can’t stop thinking about.
But a brush with danger brings Clancy rushing to Billie’s aid. And the nearer he gets to Billie, the more possessive his dragon is becoming. Clancy can’t stop wanting to hold and protect her, and Billie can’t stop the feeling that she’s fast falling for the mysterious man. Together, they experience exciting adventures by day that turn into unforgettable pleasures at night. But something is coming for them both. And if they don’t learn to overcome the demons from their past, nothing will be able to stop the savage creature intent on destroying everything they both care about.
Book 4 – Outlaw Tiger
Save a horse, ride an outlaw tiger…
As an orphan who was raised on Dragonclaw ranch, Dallas the tiger shifter is completely loyal to all the people and shifters who live there. So when a local story about gigantic monsters emerging from the ground draws unwanted attention, Dallas swears he’ll protect his home and its secrets at all costs. As one of the smartest, strongest creatures on earth, it should be simple. That is, until he meets feisty, sweet Mel, the reporter getting closest to the truth, and the beast inside Dallas growls to claim the woman he knows is his.
Mel is chasing her big break, seeking to expose literal monsters to the world. When her cameraman screws up and leaves her in danger, she winds up saved by a shadowy man in a cowboy hat, who also shows up the next day to save her again. The huge, silent man intrigues her, even as he insists on staying nearby. But as Mel explores the beautiful Texas wilderness with Dallas, she can’t help getting dangerously close to the gorgeous man helping her, and ever more interested in what he’s hiding behind those amber eyes…
As Dallas tries to protect those closest to him, his heart is pulled in two directions. His tiger has made it clear: the human is his. But Mel is getting closer to the truth, along with several other dangerous parties. And Dallas might just have to choose between his home and secrets, and the woman he now desperately loves.
In book one, Cowboy Dragon, we meet Harrison, the boss at Dragonclaw Ranch and Marian, a hard worker who has run out of luck. Her father gave her a coin and told her if she was ever in need, she should find Dragonclaw and speak with Harrison. She convinces him to hire her on and a drunken fly in by one of the other owners spills the dragon beans. She is feisty and determined and wins the oh-so-serious Harrison over with her fire and charm.
Rancher Dragon is Beck (our drunken fly in) and Sierra’s story. Sierra lives on a small spread next door that has been tended by her family for generations. She is the only one left now, and struggles to keep things up. The mayor has decided he must have her spread so they can develop a huge swath of land and make a fortune. She saves Beck after a Basilisk attacks him and he collapses on her land. He saves her from the mayors sleezy son who suffers delusions of grandeur and helps fix up her home. They are so sweet together!
Clancy’s story, Wrangler Dragon, reveals more about his past as a gunslinger and his dragon history (which sucks). Billie is a huge fan of his, though she believes it’s his ancestor at first. She gets to come to his rescue in a fun switch, but in a totally unexpected way. She helps him so much by being able to accept who he is and he is so good with her.
I really enjoyed reading the first three books of this series. We have sexy cowboys who are also dragons, we have ladies that run from sweet to fiery, and we have an obvious love of Texas that makes me want to see it for myself.
The fourth story just came out and I’ll update as soon as I have a chance to read it. These are better read in order as a series because there is an overarching plot line going on outside of the love stories. I think you could probably get away with reading them out of order, but they’re better building on each other.
If you love dragons, Texas, and happily ever afters then these stories are definitely for you. They are for mature readers so be sure your littles aren’t peeking over your shoulder while you enjoy them!
I just finished Outlaw Tiger and it didn’t disappoint!
In the latest installment of the series, we learn more about the mysterious Dallas. Why he became a tiger of few words and what kind of woman it takes to get whole sentences out of him.
Mel is a reporter, trying to find out what’s going on with these monster rumors in rural Texas. She finds herself in the middle of trouble because she’s chasing the story and someone wants her to keep quiet. Dallas is trying to mind his business and just keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t uncover anything they don’t want her to know.
I love how she accepts that he isn’t a big talker but still expresses himself just fine if you pay attention. The dynamic between them was sweet and I enjoyed it. We also get another peek into the basilisks and what’s going on with them – I feel like there could be future stories there!
