The plan: Fix up my newly inherited bookstore and get out of town.
The problem: The Grady brothers. And this positive pregnancy test.
It figures. My car breaks down, and suddenly I’m tangled in the sheets with the local bad boy mechanic.
Mason definitely should‘ve been a one-time thing.
Except he’s drop-dead gorgeous—and has two brothers.
Ethan, the oldest and grumpiest, growls like I already belong to him.
And Owen, the quiet one, has hands that say stay awhile.
Now these mechanics are all in my business.
Fixing my car. Repairing my bookshop.
Showing up shirtless like it’s in their job description.
And just when I think my life couldn’t get messier?
Two pink lines say otherwise.
I planned to leave.
Instead, I’m dodging small-town gossip, planting roots, and maybe—just maybe—building a family.
That’s when I realize I’m living out the wildest plot twist of all…
I’ve got three men who’ll do anything to keep me.
And their baby is on the way.
My Review
Aurora is having a serious run of bad luck. Her car breaks down, she’s stranded in the small town of Medford, Oregon with no cell service, and she’s suddenly there to deal with an inheritance she never wanted. Now the reluctant owner of a local bookstore, Aurora just wants to sort everything out and get back to the job she actually loves.
Enter the Grady brothers. Tall, handsome, and the local mechanics in town, they immediately make an impression. Ethan is the smirking one and likely the oldest. Owen is calm and steady, and Mason is pure ego. Despite their very different personalities, they step up to help a woman in need, and the brotherly banter between them is one of the highlights of the story.
Mason is the first to end up between the sheets, and the book wastes no time getting steamy, sometimes at the expense of deeper character development. Then comes Owen, whose scenes are hot but lack the emotional angst that later shows up with Ethan. This is very much insta-love with a side of questionable decisions, but I was curious enough to keep reading and see where it all went.
Amid all the intense connections, there’s an underlying sense of mystery surrounding Page Turners, the bookstore, Aurora’s uncle, and even the Grady family themselves. That thread of intrigue helps give the story some structure and keeps things moving beyond just the romance.
It’s honestly a bit heartbreaking watching the no-nonsense city girl unravel under the pressure. Between legal troubles, relationship chaos, and career stress, Aurora is barely holding it together. Then the story adds an accidental pregnancy on top of everything, and the emotional weight really ramps up. Thankfully, the found-family element shines here, with both the Grady men and the town rallying around her when she needs it most.
Overall, I really enjoyed how this story wrapped up. It was cute, steamy, and filled with interesting characters. While the plot leans more heavily on relationships than action, it was still an enjoyable journey and left me satisfied by the end.
