I didn’t mean to tell my entire family that I’m dating my ex’s three older brothers…
But to be fair, the lie wasn’t even my fault. When my ex asked if I’d be bringing a plus-one to his holiday wedding (to my sister, by the way—don’t even get me started about that), I did what any self-respecting woman would do and said of course.
I probably should’ve been prepared for followup questions, but when my ex asked who I’m dating, I drew a complete blank.
That’s when his three gorgeous older brothers spoke up… at the same time.
Now my family thinks I’m dating all three of them, and Lennox, Rhett, and Sawyer are staying in my too-small house for the holidays. To make things even more complicated, they don’t seem to get along at all, and I maaay have given my v-card to Lennox six years ago before he ghosted me after one night.
I don’t have time for this! My life is chaotic enough as it is, trying to keep my tiny bakery afloat during the Christmas rush. The last thing I need is Sawyer eyeing my curves as if he actually appreciates them, Rhett barging in on me while I’m doing something very naughty in the shower, and Lennox admitting that he hasn’t slept with anyone else since that night.
This is all supposed to be fake… even if the tension between us feels alarmingly real.
I already fell for one Sullivan brother and got my heart broken. What would happen if I dare to let myself fall for three?
My Review
Violet owns a bakery and has a horrible family. They guilt-trip her into supporting her sister even though her sister, who is her twin, is marrying her ex-boyfriend. The scandal that this starts with is gasp-worthy, but even worse, her mother totally guilt-trips her into showing up. She lives in a small town and has not always fit in with her own family, as she is more curvy than they are; her mother is a real doozy of a woman.
As if their family intermingling wasn’t a disaster; already Andrew’s three older brothers are in town as well. Lennox, the previous military man, Rhett, the mountain man, and Sawyer, the traveler. They all give Violet butterflies in their own way, and she has a history with this family.
One dinner convo goes from awkward to fake dating all three brothers. Like what, and her mother’s reaction is priceless. Her sister and Andrew give me corporate embezzlement vibes. Violet is so in over her head, but at least it will be entertaining, and the reverse harem might just get smutty.
And we get their pov Sawyer is up first. He is a gentleman in his own way, caring and spontaneous. The lie goes from bad to worse with one more sentence, and now we add in the only one bed trope, and then staying at Violet’s small one-bedroom home, yup, all three of them.
That dream was hot and very detailed, omg, Violet’s and Lennox’s history and last encounter were scorching. Things are complicated with feelings trying to take place, and some heat between her and all three of these men. Also, them being rich and unique is swoon-worthy.
I think Violet has endometriosis based on a few clues in the story. I really like how the men care for her even on her cycle. Never mind the dream, that the shower scene was hotter.
Of course, this book gets smutty, I mean, reverse harem, three men, one woman, and a little billionaire flaunting. But it isn’t all smutty; there is a storyline too.
Wow, just as the storyline was getting cozy, there had to be a detrimental moment. I’m not sure I love the last act breakup.
The epilogue of this book is just as smutty, but at least it has holiday vibes.
Honestly, Violet and her men are a wonderful read. I enjoyed the storyline as well as the smut. The characters were really interesting, and the overall drama in the story wasn’t too much. I really loved the small town and winter vibes, but mostly this story was the perfect palate cleanser from reading sappier holiday romance. My favorite part of the story was Violet having endometriosis, and that not stopping them or her from finding love and all those bedroom activities.
