Dark. Depraved. Deadly.
That was the warning that everyone was given about The Hallowed Crows MC. That they were harsh, brutal, and completely unforgiving. And here I am, utterly at their mercy. Again.
My dad is dead and now the only people I have left are the boys who ripped out my heart. They loved me, then rejected me. Protected me, then abandoned me. Now they want to control me more than ever before. I thought I’d escaped the black mark placed on my soul, but I was wrong. They might think they own me, but someone else has already claimed me. I’m back, but I wasn’t given much of a choice. It was his cage or their club… Better the devil you know right?
But I’m not the same lost little girl they toyed with two years ago. I won’t go down without a fight. Not this time.
I’m a Crow and it’s time to call murder.
My Review
We begin the book with Rebecca, and time jumps back two years from the present. When she realized she liked more than one man in her dad’s MC club. Aiden, Ezra, and Killian have her attention, but does she have theirs? This starts off sizzling as we get the start of the reverse harem, but then it isn’t happy ever after just yet.
Now in the present, Rebecca, her MC president father has passed away. Her commentary is a web of twists and turns that are all yet to be revealed, from cages to home, death to despair, and back again as she fights to gain her place back, but also runs from the past memories and traumas.
We do get Aiden’s pov, who is now the MC president. There is a lot of hatred I this story for things beyond their control, misunderstanding, and lack of communication seem to be the center points. This is no sweet MC romance; this is dark and brutal.
We often time-jump back, and I still don’t have a full understanding of the rift caused by her capture. This book is all sorts of dark and screwed up, from physiological manipulation to physical and even mental. Rebecca is a shell of the woman she used to be. We know who is at fault, but not the whole story.
She is so far damaged, can she ever be the one they loved before? A lot of questions remain as the end of the story will leave you gasping. This book is sizzling, drenched in darkness and a damaged MC, but is she broken beyond repair?
The ending of this book is deliciously dark and painful, but oh my goodness 😱, I think I might be hooked. I definitely need to read more in this series.
