Hot Vampire Next Door: Season One
“Look at me,” he says. “Look at me when I touch you.”
It’s near impossible to ignore my vampire neighbor, Bran Duval, when he has a habit of shucking off his clothes while the blinds are up. He’s playing games with me, but I don’t mind a challenge.
Only problem is, I’m supposed to pledge myself to a rival vampire family, and now all I can think about is Bran Duval, black sheep of the Duval vampire family, and the wicked things he’s promising to do to me in the dark.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Two
“Be a good girl for me, Mouse.”
Secrets are starting to come out about my past, and the only thing that feels real anymore is my annoyingly hot vampire neighbor, Bran Duval.
He made me a promise to help me uncover my past, but I didn’t know those promises included the heat of his touch. Bran and I don’t always see eye to eye, but when we’re alone together in the dark, everything feels right, even if some of the things he does to me might be so very bad.
As my Pledge draws nearer, and more secrets come out, I can’t help but wonder: who am I? Or better yet, what am I?
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Three
One of the scariest vampires in Midnight Harbor loves me.
I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but I’m not going to look too closely at it. Not when secrets are coming out about my past and a rival vampire is hellbent on not only possessing me, but my sister, too.
If I want to survive the secrets and plotting, I’m going to need Bran Duval by my side. Having him in my bed is just a bonus.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Four
I finally know who I am…and it terrifies me.
Worse, I think it also terrifies my hot vampire boyfriend, Bran Duval.
Can we get past the latest revelations about my origins and newfound power? Will Bran ever look at me the same way again?
We have to figure things out if we’re to defeat the enemy that’s coming…
Because they’re closer than we think.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Five
I finally know the truth of my identity: I am not human.
And it’s time I stop pretending that I am.
If only I could control these rare, unique powers long enough to defeat my enemies.
Because the fae gate is now open and the entire fae realm thinks I’m the villain.
Or at least that’s what I believed, until a fae prince gets down on one knee and offers his hand in marriage under the guise of court unity.
Of course when my vampire boyfriend finds out, he has a proposal of his own. I love Bran and I do want to spend the rest of my life with him, but on my terms.
I’m tired of being a pawn.
It’s time I take charge of my own life and resume my rightful place on the Winter Court Throne.
My Review
Overall
The story ends wonderfully and probably leads into more. I loved Bran in the story and Jessie as well, Sam and the wolf shifter alpha, and of course, the whole premise of the series, with the girl who didn’t fit in finding her place in the world as more than she ever imagined.
I was absolutely hooked to this entire series, not gonna lie, I think books 1 -3 were my favorites, but I did read all 5 books and enjoyed them like binge-reading this series, forgetting all other books. This one is a must-read and absolutely well-written with a fantastic storyline.
I would truly love a continuation in Midnight Harbor of Sam and her wolf man’s story. I love her sassy attitude.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season One
I find it intriguing that this series is written seasonally. This story and the town are filled with all sorts of things that go bump in the night, but it is mostly about vampires and their bound humans.
Jessie wants a life outside of the paranormal town. She is almost twenty-one and looking formed to leaving Midnight Harbor. She works at the local magical coffee shop. She is hit by the naughty vampire next door, Bran Duval, but is also scared of him.
The conversation seemed coded and not at all helpful to her predicament. The interaction she has with the vampire reminds me so much of Twilight, but this gets steamier faster. Bran Duval is sexy, possessive, and powerful, and he seems to jumble her thoughts. They seem to have a hate-to-attraction relationship with some mind games as well.
So far, it’s open-door intimacy with a whole enemies-to-lovers vibe, some political and mind games in their story, but oh so addicting. I think I may need to read the series if it is this vampire. He is so morally grey.
“I want to sink into his wickedness and let him do wicked things to me.”- Jessie
She has some sort of secret in her blood, but all the clues aren’t spelled out for you easily. But I’m wholly connected now. The amulet, the secrets, and, of course, the beginning relationship with a vampire. Omg, the sizzling hot scenes and of course the last little cliffhanger secret make you want it read the next book.
You can read this on Kindle Vella. I know I’ll be continuing this series even if it’s a short story.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Two
We begin the book with Jessie realizing her plans may not be what she wanted after all. But what will she do?
The secrets in this book are dark and life-changing. The vampire war she may have started, all because of little old her, is amusing and complicated. Bran reveals secrets that once known can’t go back, and a little more of his interest in her is discovered. Nothing like tuning around with a smoking hot vampire while you find truths about yourself. His claim on her is subtle and primal, but nothing is characterized in modern terms yet.
“He licks his lips, looks down at me with heavy, glowing eyes. “You’d run.” My heart kicks up in my ears. “I’m not going anywhere.” “As if I’d let you.”- Bran and Jessie
This story has a certain aspect of love, danger, and exhilarating secrets and questions that make you completely hooked on the story. I highly recommend it.
Omg, the ending, I must read more in this series. It is so twisted and a little dark, definitely steamy, but I haven’t binged read a vampire series like this since Twilight.
The second is better than the first, and omg if they keep going like this. I can’t see this getting any better than it is, but I also can’t put it down.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Three
I don’t think Jessie can quite compute the last few days, but I can’t wait to see what’s next.
“And if you’re a good girl, maybe I’ll treat you like a bad one after.” – Bran
The sizzling scene will melt your heart if you can stand the darkness, but the twists in the storyline will be your undoing.
As if the action isn’t enough in this story, the end will leave you positively gasping. I mean, I suspected there were hints, but you don’t put the prices together until the end, and omg.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Four
If a vampire boyfriend, paranormal politics weren’t enough and add in the bdsm. This book has to leave a huge surprise again right at the end of the story.
Bran and Jessie are still angered by the last secret reveal when they unwittingly stumble upon even more than they bargained for, but it leads to more answers, potential allies, and enemies.
I love how these stories are broken down into short stories, but extremely engaging to the reader. I don’t know if the next book finishes it, but it is on Kindle Vella if you want to read the entire thing while it is being written. Despite the enthralling tale, it does have some minor spelling errors. Omg, the end of this is such a cliffhanger.
Hot Vampire Next Door: Season Five
The gates are open now, what? Our female is playing a dangerous game. We go from one magical small town to portals in another realm.
“I don’t think I could possibly rest until Mouse is home, but even though I’m a supernatural creature with untenable power, there is one thing I cannot fight: the exhaustion of a vampire.” – Bran
Of course, it gets steamy again, and they keep dining in inventive ways to make the story smutty.
This story has clever plotting with problem-solving, and Jessie is well on her way to being a heroine and not a submissive mouse. I like how the author aligns stuff we know and stuff we don’t to always keep us on our toes.
The more I read this, the more I want Sam and The Alpha’s fated mate story. I wonder if that is written yet.
From rivals to allies, this book takes a steep turn into politics. I’m not sure if I love all the political aspects, but it is certainly an adventure.
