I have read 145 books this year; choosing my favorite read per month was tough. There were so many great books this year. I also thoroughly enjoyed romantasy, contemporary romance, and some hyped books. I dabbled in everything from fae to cozy romance. I hope you enjoy my top reads of 2024 and, of course, see anything you want to add to your tbr; the books will be linked below. Every year, I aim to read 100 books, but I don’t always succeed. But I enjoy adding to my TBR as much as reading it and discovering new books, authors, and stories to love.

January Top Reads
Fae of Snow & Ice (4 book series) by Krista Street
I thoroughly enjoyed this romantasy world filled with a damaged MC, new adult storyline, and royalty. The fae magic was terrific; the entire series gave me all the winter vibes.
February Top Reads
Gilded City (3 book series) by Leia Stone
This series intrigued me with its academy-like setting, Fae’s rags-to-riches storyline, and young adult-to-new adult characters. I loved the way it was written and enjoyed binge-reading it
March Top Reads
Fallen Fae Gods (2 book series) by Jaymin Eve
What can I say about librarians, dragons, and a fantasy world? This series was short but enthralling. After reading it, I wished it had been continued because it was so good, and it was a great duology.
April Top Read
This single-dad country contemporary romance is part of the Chestnut Springs Series. I only read the one book. However, I did enjoy this cowboy romance and the character’s banter.
May Top Reads
The Rising Series by Bethany Savant
Ashes was a reread for me but, I enjoyed this twist on paranormal characters as much as I did the first time I read this story. Arise was the new release this year and it was just as amazing as well. I’m anxiously awaiting the completion of this series.
June Top Reads
This story was zany, laugh-out-loud funny, and the perfect palate cleanser for an easy read. I enjoyed the story’s royalty tropes, travel, and contemporary romantic comedy. This story is part of the Royally Pickled (3-book series).
July Top Read
The Heir of Exile by J. Houser
This story is pure fantasy, but I enjoyed the Anti-hero storyline and the continuation of a world I was already intrigued by after reading the previous book in the series last year. This story is part of the Seeder Wars Series (a five-book series), which I encourage you to read if you want something different.
August Top Read
Never Fall for a Dragon by Lola Glass
This story was a cute dragon shifter romance with very steamy scenes, forced proximity, and a wonderful shifter romance. I enjoyed the fresh take on fated mates and the characters in the story.
September Top Read
The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore
I loved this autumn-themed story with a spoonful of romance, suspense, and grumpy/sunshine characters. It was a cozy, enjoyable read, and I enjoyed the autumn vibes of the story.
October Top Reads
Corrupt Credence (3 book series) by Albany Walker
This book series is a dark college romance with a secret society, bad boys, and very smutty. I loved the intrigue, suspense, and damaged MC vibes of the main characters.
November Read
I originally picked up this book because of the hype, but it was all worth it. I loved the romantasy storyline with a damaged MC, morally grey bad-boy, and dragons. This book left a lasting impression, genuinely memorable and readable.
December Read
A Very Merry Mistake by Lyra Parish
This story was the perfect December read. It was cute, festive, and wintry, with a dose of sassy characters and an ideal Christmas town. I enjoyed the only one bed, stuck in a snowstorm, the hallmark storyline, and the lumberjack MC.
Best Read of 2024
