I don’t know when our relationship moves from pretending to passionate, but I catch feelings. As our exes desperately crawl back into our lives like zombies, I realize there is only one man for me, and (f)all I want is him.

FALL I WANT is a feel-good, spicy small-town, romantic comedy with a billionaire who falls first and harder. Grab a pumpkin spice latte, a warm fuzzy blanket, and make your way down to Cozy Creek. Each book in the series is a complete stand alone with a happily ever after.

My Review

This story is fantastic if you are looking for a midlife autumn read. I love the story’s billionaire,  fake girlfriend, and friends-to-lovers tropes. It has the perfect amount of autumn vibes to get you ready for the season. The overall story is very sweet and sizzling hot. The instalove storyline flows nicely and has excellent travel and banter. The book ends with a HEA and a lead into the next story with a different character, but this book is part of the Cozy Creek Collection, a set of interconnected standalone stories by different authors all centered in this small town. I love that it is an interconnected standalone. Autumn and Zane are a sweet couple, and the meeting is quite possibly divine, like the perfect cup of coffee.

Love the playlist at the beginning of this book.  Autumn is in her thirties and reminiscing about her life and job ahead as the assistant manager at Cozy Coffee.  She dreams of the perfect guy, and hasn’t yet met him. Also, she is an author writing her books until she hits a lull in her romantic experience.

Alexander is tall, dreamy, rich, and particular about his coffee to the point of being snobbish.  

I love the town mysteries, even border-lining them with paranormal occurrences and all the autumn vibes.  They go from bumbling acquaintances to friends to a fake relationship. A fake relationship leads to forced proximity and a fake engagement, and the characters do all this fast. I like the softer side of Zane Alexander, but his other side isn’t as interesting. Autumn is feisty but scared and has her demons. 

What started awkwardly heated as they spent more time together. I’m enjoying the mature banter and steamy chemistry. Oh, this book gets spicy as the lines begin to blur. Okay, the perfect book boyfriend and the billionaire swoony vibes are totally encapsulated in this story. Zane is swoony and dreamy and will have your imagination running wild. 

This story gets sappy as it gets its HEA, but continues with the sizzling scenes. Harper becomes more of an exciting character as her premonitions are almost paranormal. The book ends sweetly with a nod to the next in this author’s series of books, but this one is in a collection of autumn reads.
