Falling For The Rockstar At Christmas by Lyndsey Gallagher

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Sasha:
Ten years ago, I inherited our family castle and sole care of my youngest sister. More Cinderella, than Sleeping Beauty, at the mere age of twenty-eight I have a teenager to raise and a hotel to run. If the hotel is to survive past Christmas, I need a lottery win, a miracle, or Prince Charming himself to sweep in with a humongous… wad of cash.

When my super successful middle sister announces she’s coming home for the holiday season, I’m determined to put my problems aside and make this the most fabulous Christmas ever. Especially as it might just be the last one in our family home.

I didn’t factor in the return of my first love, Ryan Cooper. Back then he was the boy next door. Now, he’s a world famous singer/song writer. We were supposed to go the States together. He left without me. Now he’s back. Rumour is he has writers block. Apparently this is a last-ditch attempt to find inspiration before his record label pulls the plug permanently.

And guess where he wants to stay? You have it in one- the most inspiring castle hotel in Dublin’s fair city.

Every woman in the city wants to pull this Hollywood Christmas cracker. Except me.I’m going to avoid him at all costs.

Easier said than done when he’s parading around under my roof, with enough heat exuding from his molten eyes to melt every square inch of snow from the peaks of the Dublin mountains…

Falling For The Rock Star At Christmas is an OPEN DOOR steamy, love conquers all, stand alone romance, with no cliff hanger- and a guaranteed happy ever after. The characters ocassionally use profanities because sometimes darn it just doesnt cut it!

My Review

Sasha lives in a real-life castle, her parent’s estate, and a bed and breakfast. She has fallen in love with the bad boy, rockstar Ryan. Their relationship is steamy, and they are excited about the future until it gets interrupted. They are barely new adults.

We jump forward ten years now, and Sasha is in midlife. She has inherited the entire estate and her sisters, forcing her to grow up fast and take on all the responsibilities. But the castle is still struggling to stay afloat as money and maintenance issues plague them. She also was left behind by her first love on that tragic night that changed her life.

Ryan had a successful career as a musician and rock star until he got stuck. He has money but no emotional attachments and, of course, a case of writer’s block. So he decided to return to Ireland, where he lost his love, hoping it would unlock something inside of him.

Admits the angsty relationship; this book has all the holiday and winter vibes. I love that she is as honest about her feelings. I love the whirlwind Instagram-worthy love, second chance romance, and the billionaire lifestyle described in this book.

Oh, this story gets twisted as truths come out. This couple has fought so much to be together. I can’t imagine this one thing will wreck them, but then again, it might. I love this plot twist at the end. This book has many feelings, from happy to anxious to stunned. I would like to know where it will go from here.

After all the drama, we finally see the happy holiday feelings and a happy ending for Sasha and Ryan. Their story was tragic and twisted but ultimately ended happily, and the author brought a lot of winter and holiday vibes. I enjoyed this second-chance romance and the unexpected plot twists.

Please don’t be confused. This book seems to have been renamed by the author on GoodReads the book is My Big Fat Fabulous Christmas, and on Amazon, the book is Falling For The Rockstar At Christmas.

I’m going to go with what it was titled when I downloaded it.
