Book Review: Felony Ever After

Felony Ever After, a domino novel by 13 authors!

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

Felony Ever After is a domino novel by 13 authors; Helena Hunting, Debra Anastasia, Nini Bocci, Belle Aurora, Tijan, Katherine Stevens, K.A. Robinson, Liv Morris, Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland, Leisa Rayven, S.M. Lumette and J.M. Darhower. Find Felony Ever After on Goodreads

My Review

star-rating-greystar-rating-greystar-rating-greystar-rating-greystar-rating-grey

I needed this book in my life from the moment it popped up on my Facebook newsfeed, 13 authors and anything including a felony can only be good right? Right!

I have a new love for Felony Ever After that is currently all consuming, I want to shout it from rooftops, make it rain with paperbacks, shoot ebook files out my eyes! This story is a perfect, romantic ridiculous that everyone needs in their life.

The phrase laugh riot springs to mind. Have I ever uttered these words out loud in my life? No I have not but seriously, this is the phrase stuck in my head with literary super glue. Felony Ever After has an element of mystery; a murder? No. A theft? No. Secret off shore bank accounts? No. You will NEVER guess, and I wont spoil it but trust me- you want to know, need to know.
The romance? Sweet from beginning to end, the absolute cutest! My favourite part was the Tweets (there’s that phrase, sitting on the end of my tongue- I say *laugh* you say *riot*). Verity and Hudson = meant to be. Void of any serious angst this story is romantic comedy from beginning to end, I needed Verity and Hudson to be together more then I needed to know what’s in the mystery boxes (but just you wait until you know whats in those boxes!)
There is not a single part of the word count that is wasted in this story, every element contributes something magical taking you right to where you want Verity and Hudson’s story to go. The setting, the secondary characters, everything all creating a magic you will (should) savor from beginning to end.

Felony Ever After is the perfect light read, exactly what you want to pick up if you are after a laugh (riot), or an escape from a bad day. I would almost be so bold as to say its a great ‘beginner’ read for anyone daring to enter the addictive world of romance stories.
